The
Ministry to Ministers Sabbatical Program seeks to serve men
and women who have been
engaged in pastoral ministry for a number of years. The term “pastoral
ministry” is meant to be inclusive rather than exclusive:
people who work with and minister to other people. We presume
that all ministries serving the church and its mission have
pastoral implications. Our complement for each session is twenty-two.
We try to allow for an equal number of women and men, diverse
in age and nationality. The final balance depends on the overall
number of applicants.
Ministry
to Ministers is a program of renewal and enrichment for the
generally healthy
person. It is designed for women and men seeking personal,
spiritual and intellectual growth – persons who are willing
to stretch beyond where they are, to expand and broaden their
horizons. The program is not intended for those who are suffering
severe psychological dysfunction or who have not already addressed
possible addictions. We do welcome those who have sought professional
assistance to address matters of concern in their lives and
feel ready for a program such as this.
