Program
Since 1981, Ministry to
Ministers Sabbatical Progam has been offering active ministers
a four month program of renewal addressing the needs of body,
mind and spirit.
-
Designed with the
seasoned minister/adult learner in mind, mini-courses and
workshops are focused on theological updating and renewal
as well as pertinent topics in integrative spirituality.
-
While there may
be some light reading encouraged, there is no writing of
papers!
-
For those who wish,
there is an opportunity to audit regular courses offered
at Oblate School of Theology and occasional programs at
Oblate Renewal Center which is located on campus.
-
The talented and
skilled faculty of Oblate serves as a major resource along
with lecturers, program presenters and Spiritual Directors
who are brought to Ministry to Ministers from the San Antonio
region and around the nation.
-
There is opportunity
for the daily celebration of Eucharist, weekly Faith Sharing
and Spiritual Direction.
Sponsorship
Ministry to Ministers
Sabbatical Program is a program of Oblate School of Theology;
a freestanding, professional school of graduate theology, sponsored
by the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, dedicated to
the education of men and women for church ministry. The student
body comprises seminarians, both diocesan and religious, Catholic
and Protestant laity, clergy, religious women and men.
With its long-standing
commitment to the preparation of church ministers, Oblate School
of Theology extends its concern to ministers already serving
in parishes, schools, hospitals and other agencies. The Ministry
to Ministers Sabbatical Program has been an expression of,
and a vehicle for channeling that concern since August of 1981.
