FACILITIES
A
conference, workshop and retreat center in the perfect environment
for personal spiritual growth.
An
atmosphere of quiet, peace and hospitality radiates from
this oasis of sacred ground. It is a source of strength for
the mind, the body and the spirit. A place where
your soul can soar while your body finds peace and refreshment.
An
ideal location for religious conferences and workshops The
50,000-square-foot Oblate Renewal Center is a spiritual and
visual oasis for individuals or groups of up to 120. The
facilities include three conference rooms, smaller breakout
rooms, library, classrooms and 60 bedrooms (either single or
double occupancy) with private bath. The spacious dining
room with its bay windows framing the beautiful tree-studded
campus and grand foyer entrance enhance the sense of connectedness
to the natural surroundings. And for summer fun – a swimming
pool.
The
St. Joseph’s Chapel is the Renewal Center’s main worship space. The
adjoining Lourdes Grotto and Tepeyac Shrine has a chapel, and
the Immaculate Conception Chapel at Oblate School of Theology
is also available for larger groups’ worship needs.
The
lodging facilities for participants are spacious and inviting
while maintaining their simplicity and privacy.
Beautiful
surroundings in a peaceful atmosphere
A
sheltered arcade connects the residential buildings of the
retreat center. Ample walkways meander through the 41
acres that are also home to Oblate School of Theology. It
is a wooded, inviting landscape that includes trees planted
by the Oblates themselves, plants and flowers native to South
Texas and an outdoor environment for Stations of the Cross.
A
refreshing and relaxing retreat within the city
For
over 45 years, the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate have
been offering retreats for clergy, religious and lay people,
with stays ranging from several days to weeks, on the site
of the new Oblate Renewal Center. It is conveniently
located in north central San Antonio, near the International
Airport and Interstate Highways, but exudes a sense of seclusion,
natural beauty and peace. |
