Continuing Education at OST evangelizes through individuals and communities. This is done by curating innovative learning opportunities for individuals to engage their pastoral setting, develop an international perspective, and foster intercultural fluency in service of the most marginalized.

Opportunities

Continuing Education at Oblate School of Theology provides a variety of learning opportunities to active ministers and laity who are interested in updating their theology and keeping abreast with developments in the Church. Continuing Education at OST fosters individuals’ personal, professional, and spiritual growth.

Oblate’s faculty offers short courses, seminars, workshops, and lectures during the fall and spring semesters and during summer school. Visiting faculty and resource persons are also invited to make presentations. Subjects include a wide range of topics related to spirituality, scripture, contemporary social issues, and pastoral skills.

From Our New Director

This Spring marks a season of transition for our department. Along with adding new faces, we have allowed a number of our regular Spring programs to lay fallow. We chose this gestational path to ease the transition, ensure we do a few things well, and honor the time and dedication needed to foster nourishing encounters as we get up to speed. Please know that our every effort is directed toward renewing the wellspring of learning, growth, and community that our programming has been for many years. We will undergo a process of reflection, evaluation, and new growth as we plan our Fall program schedule and will resume publication of our upcoming program offering pamphlet in June.
