Academic Preparation for Chaplaincy Certification
Oblate School of Theology offers degree programs designed to satisfy the academic prerequisites established by several leading chaplaincy certifying organizations. Because certification requirements extend beyond academic coursework, students are encouraged to review each organization’s current standards, including clinical pastoral education (CPE), endorsement, and other professional requirements. To gain a clear understanding of the full pathway toward board certification and to determine which certifying body best aligns with their vocational goals.
